I used to love building lego with my son, Fraser (now 16). He would build for hours, searching the Tupperware bin for the tiny essential bit that he knew was there. It was the first thing he did every morning and the last thing he did before going to bed. He built masterpieces while my trucks never quite rolled and my structures would not have held up in a wind.

As a jewellery designer, creating necklaces is like lego was to Fraser. All of my gems organized in an antique type set drawer, each of my charms, clasps, jump rings and accent beads nicely organized and just waiting to be strung. It’s different every time I create one, but the process of designing as I go and searching for the essential bit is the same.  I now see how Fraser was consumed by the excitement of completing his next masterpiece. I’m not sure that I will ever tire of this new Sass Designs line, I have an assortment of materials that will last for years.

Most of my necklaces can be worn short or long and many can be worn wrapped around the wrist for a double or triple wrap bracelet.
