Sarah Sladen

I left the corporate world behind when our family moved from Victoria to Whistler for a one year sabbatical.  During that year we were reunited with our love of the mountains, forests and lakes and decided to leave city life behind for good.  Whistler is now home for me, my husband and our two children.  The natural beauty that surrounds us are a daily inspiration.

I have collected, played and worked with natural elements since I was able to crawl.  In my teens and twenties I had a small textile company designing and creating sewn and knitted garments.  After 20 years in the nursing and clinical research field, I am very excited to revisit my creative side through jewellery design. Starting with leather wrap bead bracelets in 2010, I introduced Swedish Sami bracelets in 2011 and the Sassy Sami and Euro Design in 2012. Stay tuned for what’s new in 2013!

Beyond the dream of making jewelry for a living, I’d love to travel the world and personally collect my materials and gems from the international craftspeople who cut, shape and mold them.
