The season’s first Whistler Winter Indoor Market was yesterday at the Squamish Lil’wat First Nations Cultural Centre.  Before the doors opened, all vendors were invited upstairs for an aboriginal morning prayer.  Our group of 20, most of us complete strangers, stood in a circle and shook our hand carved wooden rattles to the beat of 3 deer-hide drums and a powerful voice that filled the 10,000 sq. ft space with joy.  The song they chose for morning prayer was the Dream Song.  It seemed fitting that I was embarking on making my dream a reality; a powerful way to start the day and a new business.
